SARAH THOMAS STAGE
Sarah has been working for Florida Division of Cultural Affairs since 2002, where she is a Program Manager. Originally from Iowa, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from the Kansas City Art Institute and a Master of Fine Art and Museum Studies Certificate from Florida State University. Prior to joining the Division, Sarah served as Traveling Exhibits Coordinator at the Museum of Florida History in Tallahassee, and has taught elementary art. Sarah resides in Tallahassee, is an oil painter and avid sailor.
Don is a native of St. Augustine, Fl. and former USMC officer and veteran of Viet Nam. Don has a BS/MS University of Florida; DVM Auburn University andbeen a self-employed veterinarian in Panama City, FL since 1972, now semi-retired. Past president of the Panama Art Association (1975-76), and a member of the Board of Directors for the Visual Art Center of Northwest Florida (2001-06).
Don was the president of the Southern Watercolor Society (2011-2012), having previously served as the president from June 2006-May 2009, and as vice president from 2005-2006. He has been published in the 2010 & 2011 edition of the Best of America Watermedia, in the 2012 Best of Worldwide Watermedia Artists, in the 2012 Artistic Touch 5 and 2013 Artistic Touch 6, and in the 2010-15 editions of International Contemporary Artists.
He is a signature member of the Southern Watercolor Society, Florida Watercolor Society, Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, Watercolor Society of Alabama, Georgia Watercolor Society, Texas Watercolor Society, Missouri Watercolor Society, Louisiana Watercolor Society, Kentucky Watercolor Society, San Diego Watercolor Society, Watercolor Arts Society of Houston, Hudson Valley Art Association, Red River Watercolor Society, Tallahassee Watercolor Society, an Elected Member of Allied Artists of America, and is a Fellow Maxima Cum Laude in the American Artists Professional League.
He has had paintings accepted in juried shows such as the National Watercolor Society All Members Exhibit, National Watercolor Society Open Juried Exhibit, Adirondacks National Watercolor Society-Old Forge & Traveling Exhibit, Allied Artists of America, Signature American Watercolor Exhibit, American Artists Professional League exhibits, Watercolor West, Transparent Watercolor Society of America, Mississippi Watercolor Society, Montana Watercolor Society, Kansas Watercolor Society, Philadelphia Watercolor Society, the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, the Cornell Museum, the Hilton Head Art League, Richeson 75 Art competitions, Pike’s Peak Watercolor Society, New England Watercolor Society, and many others. Don has won numerous awards in national watercolor competitions and teaches watercolor workshops on a limited basis.
